A retired Army Brigadier, VK Joshi, was shot dead during his morning walk near Tula Apartments in Johri village, Dehradun. Officials said the incident occurred when a dispute between occupants of two vehicles escalated, and a stray bullet struck him.

Police have arrived at the scene and are investigating the shooting.
